Field guide No. 610
Where rainbows become rock
Where the rainbow ends, quarried.
A rainbow comes down into a quarry face and carries on into the rock as bands of red, yellow, green, blue and violet stone. A pot of gold would be easier to dig.
Field noteRainbows end nowhere you can reach. This one carries on into a quarry face as coloured stone.
Also possible, also breaking material
The velvet faultA cliff crack lined in red velvet from top to bottom. Rock does not crack in cloth, but the cloth fits the crack fine.
Stone bodied crab on a hollow pebble beachCrabs moult and leave empty casts. Here the casts are pebbles, and they line the beach.
Please untangle the northern lightsAuroras are light a hundred kilometres up. This one came low enough, and solid enough, to snag.
Figure eight bicycle against vermilion wallA frame bent into a figure eight is a poor bicycle, not a logical impossibility.
