Field guide No. 698
Pews above, chandeliers below
Mind the candles on the way in.
In a tall stone nave with stained-glass windows, the golden chandeliers stand on the floor like trees, rooted in the flagstones and reaching up towards the beams. Seating is presumably on the ceiling.
Field noteChandeliers grown up from the flagstones like oaks. Hanging was apparently optional.
Also possible, also breaking physics
The magnetic hedgehogSpines aren’t iron. Pulling washers into field lines takes a magnet the hedgehog isn’t.
Trilobite emerging from its fossil imprintTrilobites lived and fossils exist. One getting up out of its own print is the only part nature hasn’t tried.
Borrowed horizon over tussock plainA hillside skyline tilts sharply above a flat plain. The slope was borrowed and not returned.
Fog weighs down the fenceFog is mostly air with a little water in it, and still these fence posts are buckling under the bank.
