Field guide No. 451
Geyser of dragonflies
Erupting on schedule.
In a steaming geyser basin, a geyser blasts a tall column of dragonflies into the sky instead of water. The basin seems to think this is normal.
Field noteGeysers throw boiling water. This one throws dragonflies, who would rather not be boiled.
Also possible, also breaking category
The sleeping matchSheep sleep and matches are wooden. Combining the two takes a carpenter, not a paradox.
Eggs spill from a rotary phoneA receiver carries sound, not eggs. Wrong cargo, sound telephone.
The kitchen holds its breathA dust sheet over a kitchen is housekeeping. One with eyes is a ghost costume for a room.
Terracotta pots growing on stalksPots are fired in kilns, not grown. This plant bears terracotta on its stalks and lets it ripen.
