Field guide No. 1431
Daylight inside night blooming desert flowers
Saved some sun for later
On a dark desert hillside at night, pale flowers glow warm and gold from inside, each like a small lamp. They kept the afternoon in their petals.
Field noteNight-blooming petals open to the moon, and these give back the daytime they missed.
