Field guide No. 1246
Unzipped tide
The sea held open.
A strip of dry sand runs out into the ocean, and a wall of curling waves stands along each side without crashing. The tide has opened like a coat.
Field noteA dry strip through the sea, waves held up on both sides. Water does not stand in walls, but these are consistent.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Underwater eel illuminates abandoned bulbsSome eels carry a charge. Lighting bulbs with no circuit, underwater, is another level.
Zebra stripes blowing across savannaStripes are just hair colour. Coming away in ribbons is odd, but a striped animal and a breeze is all it takes.
Cobalt roots beneath the turfElectric blue roots end in small flames under the lawn. The grass has no idea what its basement is doing.
Misty marsh with a looped neck heronHeron necks fold into an S already. Looping it all the way round is more yoga than anatomy.
