Field guide No. 525
The evaporated water shirt
Do not tumble dry.
On a rooftop at dusk, a shirt made entirely of clear water hangs dripping from a washing line, beside an old copper still. It is drying, which will be the end of it.
Field noteShirts get wet on the line. This one is made of the water, and drying will be the end of it.
Also possible, also breaking material
The linen loafBread with a linen crumb is a baker using the wrong cupboard. Possible, if inedible.
White iceberg, black ink seaIce is frozen water, so it melts water. Black ink running out of it is the wrong melt.
Amethyst seam through breakfastCrystal veins take ages to form in rock. This one formed through a loaf baked this morning and the worktop under it.
The listening wallPlaster does crack in rings. Rippling like a pond is the material getting ideas.
