Field guide No. 513
Northern lights in reindeer breath
A very bright exhale.
A reindeer on the snowy tundra at dusk breathes out a cloud of green and violet northern lights. Cold mornings are its best work.
Field noteBreath on a cold morning makes a little fog. A reindeer makes a whole aurora with each one.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Dust ripples in the bell foundrySound can make dust dance on a plate. A silent bell setting the floor rippling is less convincing.
Return to sender: upward rainRain falls once and stays fallen. These drops leave the pond again and head back to the leaf.
Stamp of reliefStamps leave impressions. Leaving a working oasis is a result ink has never managed.
An inconvenient angleBaths can be mounted on walls. The water staying in is what the plumbers dispute.
