Field guide No. 512
Light cut by light
Mind the off-cuts.
In an empty concrete hall, a vertical blue beam slices straight through a red laser, and the cut-off piece of red beam drops and bounces on the floor. Someone should sweep that up.
Field noteTwo crossing beams pass through each other. Here one cuts the other, and the off-cut falls and bounces.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Basalt balanced on a soap bubbleBubbles burst under a fingertip, let alone a ton of rock. Unlikely, though not self-contradicting.
Knotted tornado over the prairieAir can’t hold a knot. This funnel has tied an overhand in itself and kept spinning.
Desert driftJellyfish are real and so are clouds. One should not be the size or altitude of the other.
A helping handGloves can be posed into a loop with wire. Gripping on their own is the unexplained bit.
