Field guide No. 508
Feather’s gentle deflection
Redirected, very softly.
On an empty stage in front of velvet curtains, a white feather drifting in mid-air bends a green laser beam upward. The beam went along with it, politely.
Field noteLasers ignore a feather. This beam bends round one, as if asked nicely.
Also possible, also breaking physics
The polite avalancheSnow that stops mid-fall is a physics complaint, not a logical one. Manners, apparently, are optional extras.
Fennec and the fog-sucking vacuumVacuums pull up dust, not glowing mist. A fox supervising it doesn’t help.
Self-suspended tree in a sinkholeA tree over a sinkhole either holds on or falls in. This one does neither, with nothing to grip.
Shell serviceConches have long been held to the ear. Wiring one up is easy; floating it is the hard part.
