Field guide No. 1530
Winter cloud beneath the net
Let, and a cumulus.
A frosted clay tennis court has a low white cloud rolling along the foot of the net, the full width of the court. The net has caught weather instead of balls.
Field noteGround fog pools against fences and in hollows, so a cloud clinging to a net is weather being tidy.
Also possible, also breaking nothing
Afternoon, somewhereA chair, some arches and a flooded floor. Architects have done stranger things on purpose.
Ants mend a shattered cobalt teapotAnts do bridge gaps with their bodies. That they chose a teapot is odd, not contradictory.
Flames along a melting alpine snowbankFire burns along the edge of an alpine snowbank. The mountain has declined to pick a season.
Uncreased ghost of a crumpleA folded paper form holds the shape of a crumple without a crease. It has remembered the collapse but not the damage.
