Field guide No. 1360
Silent horn through acoustic panels
The quietest instrument in the building
In a recording studio a giant horn shape tunnels through the wall foam, its rim lined with jagged acoustic wedges and a light at the narrow end. The room built to swallow sound has grown its own ear trumpet.
Field noteFoam wedges curl into a vast horn bell that funnels out of the studio wall toward one bright pinhole.

Brass trumpet, endless black absenceTrumpet bell feeds a drainpipe-thick black tube that runs off down the platform.
