Field guide No. 519
Rain erases the steppe
Clearing up, in a sense.
Under a grey cloud on a wide grassy steppe, the rain falls on the land and leaves nothing behind it but blank white. A weather station stands right at the edge, taking notes.
Field noteRain normally wets the ground. On this steppe it removes it, leaving blank white where the land was.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Tidal lagoon of liquid cubesWater takes the shape of what holds it. These blocks hold themselves, in cubes, on open sand.
The ladder harvestWood that was a tree has decided to be one again. Carpentry does not usually reverse.
The last matchSmoke setting solid is chemistry misbehaving. A cube of anything is still a perfectly sound cube.
Heavy break on the greenFelt doesn’t sag like a rubber sheet under light balls. This table lectures on gravity.
