Field guide No. 342
Candlelit stag in rainy forest
Lit antlers, wet forest.
A red deer stag stands in a dark, rainy pine forest with lit candles burning on every tine of its antlers. The rain has not put a single one out.
Field noteCandle flames go out in the rain. These antlers keep theirs lit regardless.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Sunlight sandwiches on a picnic tableLight doesn’t take wedge form or fit in a bag. The apple, to its credit, is real.
The pond returns the rainWater rises as vapour, unseen. Streams shooting up into one cloud is the visible version.
The library of rainJars hold water. Keeping it falling inside them is weather’s refusal, not logic’s.
The other side of TuesdayLadders need something to lean on. Mist is not something, which is physics’ objection, not logic’s.
