Field guide No. 1168
Quietly unzipped
Sky, opened a little.
A strip of the blue cloudy sky has been parted down the middle to show a starry night with the Milky Way behind it. Someone has left the back of the day ajar.
Field noteDaytime parts like a seam and shows the night behind. Sky is, strictly, only one layer thick.
Also possible, also breaking physics
An unscheduled migrationPlastic bags do fly. Holding a V for a whole coast is the biological overreach.
Cozy bed on the wallBeds stand on floors. This one is hung like a painting, the duvet sagging toward the boards.
Autumn leaf wave at the bus shelterRed leaves sweep past the shelter in an arch. The route is closed for foliage.
The cinched telephone boothIts own coiled cord pinches the booth into an hourglass. The line is busy, and so is the glass.
