Field guide No. 378
Orb weaver’s rainbow silk
The web refracts.
A spider sits at the edge of a dewy orb web in a fern garden, and where a beam of light hits it, half the web glows in the colours of the rainbow. The flies will not see it coming, eventually.
Field noteSilk can glint in colours. Half a web lit as a full spectrum is a prism with legs.
Also possible, also breaking physics
The library of rainJars hold water. Keeping it falling inside them is weather’s refusal, not logic’s.
The other side of TuesdayLadders need something to lean on. Mist is not something, which is physics’ objection, not logic’s.
Cello strings tether grounded cloudsClouds sitting on parquet on a leash defy weather, not logic. The cello is in tune.
The magnetic hedgehogSpines aren’t iron. Pulling washers into field lines takes a magnet the hedgehog isn’t.
