Liquid blossoms in a sunlit brook
The splash grew petals.
In a shallow sunlit brook over gold pebbles, the water rises into big clear flowers of splash, petals curled and spray hanging off them. Picked, they would just be wet hands.
Field noteSplashes fall back in an instant. These stand open in the brook as clear flowers.
Also possible, also breaking material
Granite chime suspended in duskWind chimes are light so a breeze can ring them. This one is five granite boulders on threads.
Soft evidenceA raised fingerprint marks a teacup. The evidence will be difficult to wash.
Delayed departureSuitcases ride the carousel wrapped in cloud, one already half evaporated.
The ribbon quarryQuarries cut rock into terraces. Cutting satin the same way is waste, but legal waste.
