Field guide No. 455
Hermit crab’s pinecone home
Found housing.
On a wet pebble beach below pine trees, hermit crabs wear pinecones and spiny seed pods as shells. The big one has upgraded considerably.
Field notePinecones aren’t hollow, so this crab is renting a house with no inside.
Also possible, also breaking category
The longer goodbyePeeling paint, but on a horse. A white animal walking out of its own pattern breaks no law of logic.
Whale surfacing through desert sandWhales breach water. Sand is a solid that has never been told it can be swum.
Sweet beaconLighthouses come in odd shapes, and plastic bears can be lit from inside. Shipping would adapt.
The quiet colanderColanders drain whatever is poured in. Someone poured daisies, and the holes obliged.
