Field guide No. 456
Knotted tornado over the prairie
Tied up, for now.
A grey tornado over flat prairie has a tight overhand knot in the middle of its funnel. The storm can’t get anywhere until someone undoes it.
Field noteAir can’t hold a knot. This funnel has tied an overhand in itself and kept spinning.
Also possible, also breaking physics
The river changed its mindStones lie in rivers and water runs over them. Here the pebbles run and the water sits in lumps.
The porcelain orchardOlive trees fruit olives. Teacups would be a breakthrough in botany, not in logic.
The polite avalancheSnow that stops mid-fall is a physics complaint, not a logical one. Manners, apparently, are optional extras.
Fennec and the fog-sucking vacuumVacuums pull up dust, not glowing mist. A fox supervising it doesn’t help.
