Field guide No. 453
Ginger cat’s rainproof circle
Personal weather.
In a downpour over a wet car park, a ginger cat sits dry inside a clear dome, the rain sliding off it in a perfect circle. Cats do not do wet.
Field noteRain falls everywhere it can. It goes round this cat as if someone had asked politely.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Autumn leaves queue beneath ancient rootsLeaves land where the wind drops them. These have formed orderly queues, which wind never manages.
Rain erases the steppeRain normally wets the ground. On this steppe it removes it, leaving blank white where the land was.
The chair that wasn'tDust does hang in sunbeams. Sitting it into furniture is physics overstepping, gently.
Pebbles return to the skyPostboxes don’t launch stones and stones don’t climb. Gravity objects; logic doesn’t.
