Field guide No. 555
Frost blossoms into spring
The frost flowers too.
In a sunlit meadow, white daisies stand among grass furred with frost, and the frost itself has grown into small branching flowers of ice. Two springs, one meadow, nobody warm.
Field noteFrost ferns on glass but never flowers. Here it has grown little ice daisies beside the real ones.
Also possible, also breaking category
Detached window between day and nightWindow pane unhooked and propped on a seat still shows the moving street.
A small disagreementDomino pips are paint, not passengers. Letting them walk off is a category lapse, nothing worse.
The fern that outgrew its huskConker husks hold conkers. This one held a fern frond far too long to have fitted inside.
Petal to the metalPoppy petals weave into a circular form on gravel. The bloom turned ornamental.
