Field guide No. 628
Blue peg clamps a rainbow
Hung out to dry.
Over a green valley after rain, a blue clothes peg is clipped onto a rainbow halfway along its arc. It will be in by teatime if the weather holds.
Field noteLight has no edge to grip. This rainbow has one, and a peg on it, like washing on a line.
Also possible, also breaking physics

Sardine whale in an empty warehouseSardines shoaling in the air of a warehouse, in a whale’s outline. Plenty of room, no water at all.
Wake that won't closeA tugboat leaves a raised ridge of water behind it. The wake has not settled.
The upright coffee spillCoffee from a toppled mug stands up off the diner counter in a thin upright sheet, edges still dripping.
