Field guide No. 432
Bear’s dandelion sneeze at dusk
Hay fever, large format.
A brown bear in a meadow at dusk sneezes out a huge cloud of dandelion seeds, eyes squeezed shut. It was the dandelions’ fault, but now it’s everyone’s.
Field noteBears do sneeze. They don’t exhale a field’s worth of dandelion seed, however long they’ve been sniffing.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Angular shiver across a woodland pondRipples are round because water is. These come to points and stay there.
Pendulum anchors a swinging roomA pendulum swings and the room keeps still. Here the bob holds still and the whole room does the swinging.
Between floorsA stair can be built in a loop; walking it is the problem. Engineers would allow it, feet would not.
Autumn leaves suspended in timeLeaves that refuse to land are gravity’s embarrassment. The tree is entirely ordinary.
