Field guide No. 423
A snail’s blooming path
Leaves a trail, of sorts.
A snail crosses a bed of wet autumn leaves, and the trail behind it is a strip of blue and white flowers. Slow, but landscaping as it goes.
Field noteSnails leave slime, which grows nothing. This one plants a border at the speed of a snail.
Also possible, also breaking physics
The long way homeRoads may go anywhere they are built. Resting on cloud is where engineering would object.
Ammonite awakening on shaleFossils are what’s left after the animal has gone. This one came back for its body.
Geese carve green furrows through cloudsGeese leave nothing behind but noise. These plough the clouds in rows, neat enough to sow.
Orbital gardeningPots, daisies and hoses are all in stock. The hovering is gravity’s oversight.
