Field guide No. 830
A cow with living grass spots
A pasture with its own coat
A white cow stands in a green field, with thick grass growing in patches across its body. The lawn has found a very mobile mower.
Field noteGrass growing from a cow’s coat is biology taking liberties. Nothing in the picture contradicts itself.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Sardines above the drained poolFish breathing air is a biology problem. The pool, at least, is accurately empty.
Candlelit jellyfish in the deepCandles need air. This one burns underwater inside a jellyfish’s bell, and the jellyfish seems glad of it.
Misregistered atlantic shoreRed and blue shorelines double around a rocky coast. The tide misaligned its copy.
Fallen feather over a sunken poolTiles stretch down into a dark funnel, one white feather drifting near the rim.
