Field guide No. 232
The unnecessary handle
Pull to open. Plum to unfold.
A dark plum on a lilac backdrop has a brass drawer handle fixed to its skin, the fruit opened like a drawer onto neatly folded white linen. The storage is excellent. The plum is confused.
Field noteFurniture fittings on fruit are bad carpentry, not bad logic. The linen folded itself nicely, though.
Also possible, also breaking category
Brass thrillsHorns are coiled tubing and so are coasters. One only needed seatbelts to become the other.
Spool ferryAnything that floats can ferry. Wood floats; the spool merely kept its thread.
The antler-cord telephoneCords end in plugs and antlers end in deer. Swapping the ends is wrong but not contradictory.
Zebra stripes slip to the groundMarkings sliding off like loose tape: hide doesn’t work that way, though nothing here contradicts itself.
