Field guide No. 528
The other side is smaller
Same cliff, travel size.
Across a deep canyon, a pale wedge and a scooped hollow in the far cliff are repeated exactly, much smaller, in the ledge on this side, while a little drone hovers by the big one. One of them is a copy, and neither is saying which.
Field noteCanyon walls match in rock but not in shape. The near ledge copies the far cliff, mark for mark, at a fraction the size.
Also possible, also breaking scale
A briefcase full of winterModel mountains with working cable cars are a whole hobby. Packing one is merely odd.
A geological disagreementRock can bend and fold; tying a whole canyon in a knot just needs more time than there has been.
DetourStone cats can be carved at any size. This one just needed a longer coast and a quieter council.
Light dessertLift enough balloons and anything goes up, jelly included. The wobble is a bonus.
