Field guide No. 098
Stamp of relief
Approved: one oasis.
A giant pink rubber stamp lifts off the desert sand, leaving a perfect oasis of palms, a pool and a waterfall.
Field noteStamps leave impressions. Leaving a working oasis is a result ink has never managed.

Spore soundsMushrooms will fruit on stranger substrates than vinyl. Not at thirty-three revolutions, though.
The umbrella orchardTrees bear leaves to keep off weather. Umbrellas are the same idea, grown wrong.
The long way homeRoads may go anywhere they are built. Resting on cloud is where engineering would object.
Paper moths in the archiveFolded paper flying unaided is aerodynamics’ concern. Moths in drawers are a museum staple.
