Field guide No. 1624
Soft focus
Bollards on the spin cycle
Concrete bollards stand on a brick plaza between grey office blocks, each one smeared sideways as if spinning fast. The plaza is still; only the bollards moved.
Field noteBollards are poured to stand still, yet these blur like a long exposure of a spinning top.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Velvet eclipseA dark sphere blocks the sun above a roof, held by a thin line. The skyline gained a private eclipse.
Floating pollen flower among hollow bloomsPollen drifts as loose dust; here enough of it holds the shape of a daisy floating above its neighbours.
Apple peel, flesh walking awayFruit with legs is biology taking liberties. A peel standing empty is mere good peeling.
Geese beneath their floating feathersBirds moult, and the feathers fall. These hover above the flock and follow it south.
