Field guide No. 723
Snowfall from a jungle radiator
Heating set to winter.
In a steamy tropical glasshouse full of palms, a rusty red radiator pours snow out across the floor in a deep drift. The plants have not been consulted.
Field noteRadiators heat. This one snows, in a palm house of all places, and the drift is knee deep.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Bending darkness in an empty cinemaA black curve rises through sunlit cinema seats. The feature has no running time.
The cinched telephone boothIts own coiled cord pinches the booth into an hourglass. The line is busy, and so is the glass.
Between floorsA stair can be built in a loop; walking it is the problem. Engineers would allow it, feet would not.
Cherry blossoms along exposed rootsBlossom opens on twigs, where bees can see it. On this tree it opens along the bare roots instead.
