Field guide No. 475
Snow with a molten core
Cold outside, very hot inside.
On a frozen lake at dusk, big snowballs have split open to show glowing molten lava inside, spilling across the ice. Nothing is melting.
Field noteLava melts snow on contact. Here they share a ball and each stays exactly what it is.

Two realities interlock in one apartmentOne room is two different rooms along a crack, and the radiator on the line belongs to both.
The shadow arrives firstA shadow is the shape of its object by definition. This one has other plans, and so cannot be one.
Sky beneath the cracked earthThe sky is above the ground by definition. Below it, it is not the sky.
The other costumeA mirror returns what stands in front of it. A bare skeleton for a living okapi returns something else.
