Field guide No. 575
Parking meter swallows the road
Pay and reel.
On an empty city street, a rusted orange parking meter is sucking the road into its coin slot, the asphalt peeling up in a long strip with the yellow lines still on it. The time has very much expired.
Field noteParking meters take coins. This one is feeding the road itself into its slot.
