Field guide No. 695
Paper thin egg beside its twin
One of them was sat on.
In a straw nest on a weathered ledge, a speckled pale blue egg sits beside its twin, which has been pressed flat into a thin disc without cracking. It looks more relaxed about it than you would expect.
Field noteEggshell flattened without a crack has stopped behaving like eggshell. The twin is a proper egg about it.
