Silver scale ripples on speaker cones
Bass with a fishy finish
A workbench of salvaged loudspeakers, every cone tiled with overlapping silver fish scales spiralling into the centre. Turn it up and it might swim off.
Field noteSpeaker cones wear overlapping fish scales, spiralling inward as if each woofer had grown a skin.
Also possible, also breaking material
Pillow softens a river stoneLinen and granite don’t blend. Here a pillow and a river stone are one thing, gathered at the seam.
A faucet pouring dry sandDry sand runs from a brass tap into a basin. Plumbing and geology disagree about the trade.
Dust car washSedan built of brown leaves rolls on between the spinning brushes.
The listening wallPlaster does crack in rings. Rippling like a pond is the material getting ideas.
