Field guide No. 807
Paper plane in origami mud
The mud is taking flight.
A white paper plane rises above a flooded field dotted with folded brown shapes. The runway is not quite dry.
Field noteMud can hold folds until rain returns. The plane has a runway of damp paper.
Also possible, also breaking material
Petal bruise in clear crystalBruising is for fruit and shins. This crystal went purple where a petal touched it.
Starry blackberries on a thorn branchRipe blackberries hold starfields and a spiral galaxy. The red ones are merely unripe.
A honey filled running laneHoney pours and sets in any trough; a running track’s kerb is just a long enough mould.
Ironing crumpled aluminumFoil can be smoothed, not turned into a mirror-thick plate. The iron added metal somewhere.
