Field guide No. 011
Moon leave
Off duty. Slightly deflated.
A sleepy pink moon balloon floats over an empty beach and a single bench. Even the moon takes a day off.
Field noteBalloons come in every shape, moons included. Sleepiness is printed on, presumably.
Also possible, also breaking nothing
Custard cathedralMoulded puddings in architectural shapes are an old banquet trick. Lighting one is the only liberty.
Please remain seatedCacti sit in pots on chairs all the time. Waiting rooms just rarely admit it.
Washed zebra stripes on terrazzoZebra hide exists, washers exist, terrazzo exists. The laundry ticket simply doesn’t.
Beavers build a red pencil damBeavers chew wood and pencils are wood. Nothing contradicts itself; it is just very sharp.
