Field guide No. 245
Escaping grooves on plaster
The record has had enough.
A spinning vinyl record lets its grooves lift off as fine black lines that drift across a sunlit plaster wall. Side B is making a run for it.
Field noteGrooves are just shaped vinyl; lifting off makes them loose shaped vinyl. Odd, consistent.
Also possible, also breaking physics
A taste of silenceTuning forks do make sugar dance. Hovering in rings is sound promising more than it delivers.
Pearly teeth in a purple figFruit growing dentition is biology going off-script. Dentists would cope; botanists less so.
Time fliesHourglasses are real and so are butterflies. Neither glows when poured.
The lantern reefPaper and flame both quit at the surface. This lantern did not hear.
