Field guide No. 356
Emerald frog’s concentric dew chorus
Singing in water droplets.
A small green frog on a red leaf puffs out its throat, and its call leaves its mouth as widening rings of dew drops in the air. The rainforest is listening.
Field noteCalls are sound; dew is water. A croak arriving as droplets swaps one for the other.
