Field guide No. 1416
Black breath bubbles in a white desert
Something below breathed out
A crater in white, cracked ground is packed with glossy black bubbles of every size. The desert exhaled and nobody mentioned it.
Field noteMud pots bubble in grey; these keep their round shape dry, black and stacked in a heap.
Also possible, also breaking material
Where asphalt unravels into woolTarmac is not knitted, and that is the only rule broken. Roads do fray; just not like this.
Vintage bicycle with rainbow wheelsRainbows are light and cannot carry weight. This bicycle stands on two of them for wheels.
Loose connectionA padlock whose shackle is knotted like a loosened shoelace; it secures nothing and has stopped pretending.
Pressure dropSteel washer fronts bulge out into soap bubbles without breaking.
