Field guide No. 618
A giant tea bag steeps the harbor
Brewing since high tide.
A tea bag the size of a boat floats off a concrete quay, its string tied back to a cup on the dock, and the harbour water turns a rich brown around it. Milk is a matter for the tide.
Field noteTea bags come small because cups do. This one was sized for the harbour, string and tag included.
Also possible, also breaking scale
Canned serenityBonsai exist, koi exist, tins exist. The arrangement is merely unprecedented.
The hourglass bakeryAn hourglass with flour runs as well as with sand. The village is a baker’s centrepiece.
The other side is smallerCanyon walls match in rock but not in shape. The near ledge copies the far cliff, mark for mark, at a fraction the size.
Giant cicada shell emergingA large cicada shell clings to reeds above dark water. The night shift left its uniform.
