Field guide No. 1402
Upward waterfalls in rice terraces
Irrigation, in reverse
Flooded rice terraces step down a hillside, with water jetting upward from each lower paddy into the one above. The fields are watering themselves uphill.
Field notePaddies pump water upward in arcs into the terrace above, so the hill fills from the bottom.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Rain inside the yellow raincoatA coat can collect rain and let it drain from its sleeves. The shelter is working as intended.
Golden wheat emerging from glacier iceRipe wheat roots into blue ice; harvest and deep freeze never agreed, but both nouns survive.
Suspended rain above the empty platformDroplets stopped mid-fall break gravity, not logic: water is still water, merely late.
Ears through steelEars drape over things, never through them. These pass through steel as if it were a tablecloth.
