Field guide No. 761
Upward mud into ceiling boots
Wipe your feet on the way up.
In a green boot room, two red wellingtons stand upside down on the ceiling while mud streams up from the floor into them. Everyone else is the right way up.
Field noteBoots, mud and a ceiling are ordinary. Gravity going the other way for two wellingtons is the only change.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Apple peel, flesh walking awayFruit with legs is biology taking liberties. A peel standing empty is mere good peeling.
Bat suspended in sunlightBats hang from rock. This one hangs from a sunbeam, which takes its weight like a beam ought to.
Last year's rainA tree appears upside down in rooftop puddles. Last year’s weather remains on the surface.
Crumb tideLoaf’s torn end throws crumbs across the table like spray off a breakwater.
