Field guide No. 486
Thunderstorm under glass
Weather, kept indoors.
Inside an old overgrown glasshouse, a dark thundercloud fills the roof and rains on the ferns, lightning flickering, while it’s sunny outside. Very well watered.
Field noteGlasshouses keep weather out. This one has grown a thunderstorm of its own under the roof.
Also possible, also breaking scale
A very small eruptionVolcanoes come small, and some only bubble mud. One in a sharpener is unwise but not contradictory.
Someone has been hereAnything pressed into snow leaves its shape. A fern this size is the improbable part.
Giant empty cicada shell on spillwayCicada shells are thumb-sized. One the size of a car means something car-sized has hatched.
Peel crossingRope bridges need anchors, and enormous peels would serve. Only the bananas are missing.
