Field guide No. 271
The last drop of ink
The tap ran rope.
A chrome tap over a white basin pours a braided black rope that coils in the sink like poured ink, against warm yellow tiles. The water bill is going to be hard to read.
Field noteTaps deliver liquids and this delivers rope. Plumbing confused with haberdashery, not a paradox.
Also possible, also breaking category
Spool ferryAnything that floats can ferry. Wood floats; the spool merely kept its thread.
The antler-cord telephoneCords end in plugs and antlers end in deer. Swapping the ends is wrong but not contradictory.
Zebra stripes slip to the groundMarkings sliding off like loose tape: hide doesn’t work that way, though nothing here contradicts itself.
Brass thrillsHorns are coiled tubing and so are coasters. One only needed seatbelts to become the other.
