Field guide No. 1384
The dry circle
Somebody kept a patch
A clifftop sea pool full of green water has a round dry patch in the middle, its crimped edge holding the water back like a pie crust. The pool is full except where it isn’t.
Field noteSeawater fills the cliff pool but stops dead at a round, crimped rim, leaving its middle bone dry.
