Field guide No. 387
Rising water on black basalt
Rain, the other way up.
On a dark lava plain under storm clouds, the rain rises from a black pool in thin streams back up into the sky. The puddle is draining upwards.
Field noteRain runs downhill and into the sky never. Here it leaves for the clouds.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Candy rain beneath a black umbrellaUmbrellas keep the rain off, not on. This one rains sweets under itself only.
Long exposureCameras take in light; this one gives out river. Plumbing could manage it, optics could not.
The slowest applauseDroplets on a thread hang a little too politely. Otherwise a sunflower and some water, both real.
The empty paradeBoots walking unworn is a motor problem, not a contradiction. Footwear has simply gone freelance.
