Field guide No. 702
Rain sifted confetti from wool
Left out for the party.
A mustard wool blanket hangs on a washing line in the rain, and what drips out of it is red and blue confetti, piling up on the wet grass. It must have been at quite a do.
Field noteWet wool drips water. This blanket rains paper triangles instead, red and blue, all over the lawn.
Also possible, also breaking material
Pressure dropSteel washer fronts bulge out into soap bubbles without breaking.
Pillow-soft brickFired clay doesn’t dent under a head, as several heads can attest. Logically, it’s allowed to.
Straw hatted garden snailSnails grow their shells. This one carries a woven sun hat, ribbon and all, coiled into a spiral.
Fur along rusted teethSoft white fur grows on every tooth of a rusted cog; metal does this nowhere, but no noun disagrees.
