Field guide No. 1458
Looping bubble knot underwater
Rising, but in a figure eight.
A column of air bubbles rises through green water and ties itself into an overhand knot. It will untie at the surface.
Field noteDolphins blow bubble rings that hold their shape. This stream simply chose a harder loop.
Also possible, also breaking physics
A dry pocket in rushing waterRivers fill every hole they cross. This one pours in at the edges of a dry square and never fills it.
Theater of drifting chairsRed theatre chairs drift at odd angles through a dim auditorium. The audience has already gone home.
Silver fish swim through wheatFish drift between wheat stalks as if the field were shallow. Harvest will be netted.
A small matter of gravityIrons do not hover or sift. That is a complaint for physics; logic signed off long ago.
