Field guide No. 361
Fennec and the fog-sucking vacuum
Hoovering up the atmosphere.
A fennec fox stands by a red vacuum cleaner on a rug patterned with pumpkins and bats, and the nozzle is pulling in a cloud of glowing green fog. The rug was fine before.
Field noteVacuums pull up dust, not glowing mist. A fox supervising it doesn’t help.
Also possible, also breaking physics
Spore soundsMushrooms will fruit on stranger substrates than vinyl. Not at thirty-three revolutions, though.
Soft impactChrome splashing at a feather’s touch is a materials failure, not a contradiction.
The polite avalancheSnow that stops mid-fall is a physics complaint, not a logical one. Manners, apparently, are optional extras.
Ammonite awakening on shaleFossils are what’s left after the animal has gone. This one came back for its body.
