Field guide No. 1546
Corner office
Open plan, rolling hills
An empty office floor of strip lights and white pillars where the pink carpet rises into dunes along the windows. The new layout has a view of itself.
Field noteCarpet lies flat by trade, but this office pile has drifted into dunes between the pillars.
Also possible, also breaking scale
Giant leaf, flattened red benchLeaves can cover a bench. This one merely booked the whole seat.
Empty fogbound orchard of hanging applesApple stalks are a finger long; here they run from bough to grass like fishing lines.
Parting watersA comb, very large, set in a canyon to split a river. Engineering would allow it, given a reason.
The last rinse whirlpoolA whirlpool needs a drain; this bowl hasn’t got one. Small physics, no contradiction.
