Field guide No. 299
Chrome cart, amber husk
Shed its trolley skin.
In a rainy car park at night, a chrome shopping cart stands beside its own empty amber husk, moulted like an insect. Bigger now; still pulls left.
Field noteMoulting is for insects; carts are made, not grown. A category slip with wheels.
Also possible, also breaking category
Deep purpleHollow it, seal it, add a periscope. Vegetables lack ambition, not buoyancy.
A small disagreementDomino pips are paint, not passengers. Letting them walk off is a category lapse, nothing worse.
The antler-cord telephoneCords end in plugs and antlers end in deer. Swapping the ends is wrong but not contradictory.
Berry far awayDomes are domes; a red one with seeds would still track stars. Planning would object first.
